Megan Stermer
Vice President & Director of Human Resources & Administration
Megan Stermer, a partner at Osterweis, oversees Human Resources, Facilities, and Administration. She ensures we hire team members who take a client-first approach and works to create an environment that allows the Osterweis team to perform at its best so we can continue to deliver excellence to our clients.
Prior to joining Osterweis in 2005, Megan worked as a Human Resources Specialist at A.T. Kearney (a management consulting firm) in both their New York and San Francisco offices.
Megan graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. She attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, working on a degree in Forensic Psychology before deciding to return to San Francisco. She holds the PHR-CA® certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, the SHRM-CP, and the Certified Plan Sponsor Professional™ (CPSP) credential from the Plan Sponsor Council of America. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball, Mahjong, and the ukulele, as well as attending theater, traveling, jewelry making, crafting, reading, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy Militar
Vice President & Director of Operations
Dorothy Militar is a partner at Osterweis and oversees the firm’s day-to-day operational activities, ensuring seamless execution of processes that support portfolio management, client servicing, compliance, and regulatory requirements. She is passionate about this work, as it requires a high level of precision and offers an environment well suited to continual innovation and process improvement.
Prior to joining Osterweis in 2014, Dorothy was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan. Before that, she held several positions over a 24-year period at AXA Rosenberg, LLC, most recently Director of Global Operations.
Dorothy graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in French Literature. Outside of work, she plays competitive racquetball, participates in book clubs, and is an avid photographer.
Mary Chang, CFA
Vice President & Director of Performance and Analytics
Mary Chang, a partner at Osterweis, oversees the Performance and Analytics team. She and her team love working with data and delivering insightful analyses on our portfolios and performance.
Prior to joining Osterweis in 2010, Mary was an Associate Client Service Director for Cardinal Capital Management, LLC, a Connecticut-based investment firm. Before that, she was a Consultant for PwC Management Consulting Services in New York.
Mary graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Applied Economics and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Engineering. She holds the CFA and CIPM designations and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco. Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time in the outdoors, listening to podcasts, and volunteering.
Erik Welke
Vice President & Manager of Trade Support and Portfolio Analyst
Erik Welke, a partner at Osterweis, is responsible for managing the firm’s trading system as well as corporate actions processes and assists with portfolio analysis. He enjoys working with financial data, problem-solving, and improving workflows.
Prior to joining Osterweis Capital Management in 2007, Erik served as an Investment Operations Analyst at MyVest Corporation. Before that, he was the Senior Corporate Actions Analyst at Dresdner RCM Global Investors. Earlier in his career, Erik held positions as a Mutual Fund Accountant at Wells Fargo and as a Portfolio Administrator at Insight Capital Research and Management.
Erik graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science and holds a graduate certificate in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University. Outside of his professional life, Erik enjoys playing guitar, mountain biking in the hills of Marin County, surfing, and playing pickleball.
